Hello this is Jarrod Rogers' Home page...
Who is Jarrod Rogers?
I am a surfer, rock climber and an aspiring golfer, however I seem to spend most
of my time programming. I live by a work-hard, play-hard philosophy. If
I'm not busy building cutting edge applications, you can find me scuba
diving in the Great Barrier Reef, jumping out of a plane, or perhaps running
a road race. Whether it's going for that next bolt on a thousand foot rock
face or tackling an uncharted technology, I have the problem solving skills to
be successful the first time.
What does he do?
I code and manage teams in the pursuit of building software products and services.
I am working hard putting together a dot com and planning to raise some money. I can't disclose
any details of my dot com yet, we are still figuring things out.
The last startup I worked for was a company called Parliament Hill
Software developing, Market2,
a Point-of-Sale (POS) system. POS systems are used to run retail stores, like a grocery store,
from the cash registers all the way to the back office where the manager works. Previously, I worked
for a start-up, Meta Integration Tech. Inc.,
in Silicon Valley. We were building a data movement / data migration product, called
Meta Integration Works. Meta Integration Works could be used by companies that wanted to upgrade a computer program
but don't want to lose all of the data from the older system.
I got my Masters at ASU. My thesis topic
was Concurrent Engineering Groupware (CEG).
The CEG is a World Wide Web database application written in Java, JavaScript,
and HTML. The CEG is a groupware communication tool, able to be adapted
to an individual company and to function as the company does business.
